Dear Sirs
On behalf of the Project Management Institute Gdansk Branch and the participants of the eleventh edition of the English Camp we would like to thank sponsors, volunteers and partners for the great support to the project.
Thanks to your support 32 kids aged 9 – 15 from Gdansk Orphanages, Hospice Foundation, and Gdynia foster families took part in the the English Winter Camp 2012, winter English course, organized by Gdansk Branch of the PMI in Harcerski Ośrodek Morski in Puck.
English classes were delivered by experienced teachers in three groups concerning the level and age of students. The language courses were based on high quality educational materials offered free of charge by renowned publisher Pearson Education Poland. After completing the course each participant received a Certificate and gifts.
Apart from learning English the kids had an opportunity to participate in a diverse program of integrative and motivating activities. Intel Site visit, supporting Anna Rogowska during Pedro’s Cup in Bydgoszcz, Zumba classes, karaoke, baking “Kopiec Kreta”, sleigh ride, ice skating, project management workshop finished with “Venice Carnival”, creating jewellery – that only some of the numerous attractions of the camp.
Again, we could count on Anna Rybicka, silver medalist from Sydney, who organized classes for future fencing masters. Anna Rogowska and Leszek Blanik were other medalists to visit our camp in Puck. We could also count on volunteers from Thomson Reuters and PMI Gdansk Branch who helped with preparing and delivering activities for the participants.
We would like to thank you again for your commitment and engagement in our project which helped us to organize this extraordinary event. Thanks to our joint initiative the kids are coming back homes with beautiful memories and strong motivation to further education.
